A legal disclaimer

INTRODUCTION

This limited warranty ("Warranty") governs the conditions under which LIKE FILM paint protection film ("PPF") is covered for manufacturing and material-related defects. These include, but are not limited to, premature yellowing, bubbling, delamination, cracking, and coating malfunction, provided that proper usage, handling, and environmental conditions are met. This warranty is extended only to LIKE-certified installation cases, provided the product was installed and registered in accordance with the official terms outlined herein.

I. WARRANTY COVERAGE

This Warranty covers material defects resulting solely from the manufacturing process of

LIKE FILM’s PPF. Covered defects include:

1. Yellowing: Premature discoloration or UV degradation unrelated to chemical or environmental exposure.

2. Bubbling: Raised areas in the film not caused by installation error or external force.

3. Cracking: Fracturing or splitting under standard usage.

4. Delamination: Separation of layers not caused by physical trauma.

This Warranty does not imply coverage for any condition unless all of the following are met:

• Film installed by LIKE-certified personnel.

• Installation conforms fully to LIKE FILM's official procedures.

• Registration is completed within 30 calendar days from installation via QR or the platform.

• Owner retains digital or physical proof of purchase and installation (including VIN and date).

WARRANTY DURATION BY PRODUCT CATEGORY:

• As specified in product documentation

The warranty is valid only for the duration specified above and becomes null and void if the film is removed, replaced, or altered.

II. WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

This Warranty explicitly excludes the following circumstances and types of damage:

A. External Physical Damage

1. Impact from road debris (stones, rocks, gravel)

2. Collisions, accidents, or vandalism

3. Cuts, tears, or abrasions caused by car keys, fingernails, or sharp tools

4. Damage from pressure washers closer than 36 inches

5. Delamination due to excessive stretch during installation

B. Chemical Exposure

1. Acid rain, bird droppings, bug splatter left untreated

2. Petroleum solvents, strong detergents, industrial fallout

3. Application of non-LIKE-approved waxes, ceramic coatings, or chemical sprays

C. Improper Installation

1. DIY installations, untrained or uncertified installer work

2. Film applied to dirty, scratched, repainted, or compromised paint

3. Wrinkling or bubbles due to improper squeegee techniques or angle cuts

D. Environmental & Storage Conditions

1. Yellowing from UV after 5 years (considered normal wear)

2. Water spotting from hard water or mineral deposits

3. Storage over 12 months from date of manufacture

4. Temperature exposure during storage below 0°C or above 40°C

5. Packaging deformation due to external pressure, crushing, or improper tape application on roll

E. Use-Related Exclusions

1. Daily wear and tear, swirl marks, scratches

2. Deliberate damage or unauthorized removal

3. Paint overspray from unapproved detailing work

4. Rewrapping over existing PPF without removal

5. Application on areas restricted by law (e.g., lights, glass)

F. Legal and Ownership Limitations

1. Any transfer of vehicle ownership without warranty re-registration

2. Use of single film roll across multiple vehicles

3. Usage in a non-automotive context (e.g., interior furniture)
   
   ※ The above list provides examples only;
       other similar situations may also be grounds for warranty exclusion.

III. CLAIM SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

To qualify for any claim under this Warranty, the customer must:

1. Provide a copy of the original purchase invoice or receipt

2. Submit the warranty registration confirmation (email or QR system)

3. Submit high-resolution photos of the affected area under daylight

4. Provide vehicle identification number (VIN), installation date, and installer info

5. File the claim within 15 days of defect discovery

6. First contact the LIKE-certified installer who performed the installation

7. If the installer is unreachable, contact LIKE directly: likefilmofficial@gmail.com
    

IV. CLAIM PROCESS FLOW
Step 1: Initial Claim Filing

• Customer submits complete documentation to installer or LIKE

Step 2: Technical Review

• Installer or LIKE conducts visual and/or digital inspection

• Additional evidence or physical inspection may be requested

Step 3: Evaluation

• Claims deemed non-compliant with warranty terms will be rejected

• Qualified cases proceed to compensation

Step 4: Resolution Path

• Film Replacement: LIKE supplies new roll of same series to the original installer

• Roll Refund: LIKE refunds the acquisition cost (max: original LIKE warehouse price)

EXCEPTIONS:

• No labor cost reimbursement

• No shipping, logistics, or installer travel support

• No compensation for consequential loss, vehicle downtime, or emotional stress
   

V. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

LIKE FILM’s maximum liability shall be limited to:

1. Replacement of defective PPF material OR

2. Refund not exceeding the LIKE FILM’s direct roll acquisition cost

EXCLUDED CLAIMS:

• Indirect or consequential damages

• Labor, paint correction, or damage to painted surfaces

• Towing, rental car, business disruption

• Reputation loss or resale value impact

Legal Clause: Under no circumstances shall LIKE FILM or its affiliates be liable for amounts exceeding the price paid to LIKE FILM by the installer for the defective film.
 

VI. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES

To maintain eligibility, the vehicle owner agrees to:

1. Complete product registration within 30 days of installation

2. Retain all documentation for the lifetime of the vehicle ownership

3. Maintain proper vehicle and PPF care (see below)

4. Report defects immediately (within 15 days)

5. Allow LIKE inspection if needed
    

VII. MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS

1. First 48 Hours:

• Do not wash vehicle

• Allow film to cure in ambient environment 
   

1. ​Washing Guidelines:

• Use pH-neutral shampoo only

• Microfiber wash mitts recommended

• Avoid abrasive pads, brushes, or automatic car washes

• Rinse thoroughly and dry with a clean microfiber towel

• For matte PPF, due to the nature of the film, there is a risk of dye transfer from car wash towels.
  We recommend using only freshly washed towels to dry the surface.
   

1. Pressure Washer:

• Maintain 36 inches minimum distance

• Use low-pressure nozzle (max 1,200 PSI)
   

1. Environmental Exposure:

• Remove bird droppings, sap, and bugs ASAP

• Avoid prolonged sun baking with contaminants
   

1. Approved Products:

• Only LIKE-certified ceramic coatings or toppers permitted

• All coatings must be declared at the time of installation
   

1. Documentation:

• Record any maintenance services performed
   

Non-compliance with any point above will result in forfeiture of warranty benefits.

VIII. WARRANTY TERMINATION

This Warranty becomes null and void upon:

• Removal of PPF from the original vehicle panel

• Paint repair without re-installation

• Structural modifications without PPF reapplication

• Vehicle ownership transfer

• Deliberate tampering or removal of LIKE logo or batch code
   

IX. TRANSFER CONDITIONS

This warranty becomes null and void upon the vehicle ownership transfer.

X. LEGAL JURISDICTION & CONSUMER LAW

This Warranty is governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Jurisdiction for all disputes lies with the competent court in the Republic of Korea. 

DISCLAIMER: Nothing in this Warranty overrides mandatory protections afforded to consumers under relevant national or international consumer protection laws. If a provision of this warranty conflicts with such laws, that provision will be deemed modified to the extent required to comply.
